New Delhi, Feb 16 (IANS) BJP leaders except party MLA Vijender Gupta were conspicuous by their absence as AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal was sworn in on Sunday as the Delhi Chief Minister for the third time at the Ramlila Maidan here.
Even Gupta was said to be miffed as he was not allotted a seat in the front rows at the swearing-in ceremony. Gupta was the Leader of the Opposition in the last Assembly and has been re-elected to the new Assembly.
The Aam Aadmi Party leadership had invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi and all seven BJP MPs from Delhi to the event. Modi is visiting his parliamentary constituency Varanasi.
AAP leaders from Punjab, including many of their MLAs and party MP Bhagwant Mann, and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh were present on the occasion.
