Historical Event on 10/1/1953
The first new state in India since 1949, Andhra Pradesh, is established on purely linguistic basis and formally inaugurated. This state was created by sub-dividing state of India, Madras Province and this movement was started by Shriramulu for which he had to sacrifice his life.

2/2/1959	Indira Gandhi was elected the president of the ruling Congress Executive Party. Thereby Congress spilt,and leftist formed Swantantra Party.
12/21/1929	Indian National Congress convenes in Lahore.
1/27/1970	Probir Sen, cricketer, 20 catches & 11 stumpings and 14 Tests for India, passed away.
8/30/1983	Indian National Satellite (INSAT-1B) launched. This was also a multi-purpose communication and meteorology satellite, which served for more than its design life of seven years. It was launched by a US Space Shuttle.
12/22/1939	When Britain declared war against the Germans it appealed for help from all political parties. Congress put up some conditions which in other words were the immediate transfer of power. The Viceroy promised to give due consideration to the suggestions of each party and that the dominion status would be given after the war.
